Xela Holmes Rysstad

Xela joined CanAssist in May 2010 and will be working to continue the establishment and expansion of the TeenWork pilot project. She graduated from the University of Victoria in 2007 with a B.A. in Psychology and has both volunteered and worked in various organizations in the community with people of all ages who have special needs. Some of Xela's most recent positions include working as a community support worker with Kardel Services Inc., as a supported employment counsellor at the Garth Homer Society, and as a policy analyst with the B.C. Ministry of Children and Family Development.
