TechWork
CanAssist's TechWork program is working to address the lack
of such technologies. Clients are identified and supported through our
connection with a variety of groups, including employers, third-party insurers and
community-supported employment agencies, as well as through direct requests from the
community.
All devices and software produced as part of our TechWork program are designed by CanAssist's highly qualified, dedicated engineers, computer programmers and researchers. TechWork builds upon CanAssist's existing customized assistive technology R&D expertise to develop technologies that enable those with disabilities to enter the workforce, retain an existing employment position or succeed as an entrepreneur.
At CanAssist, we recognize that the ability to work has great value on many levels, both for individuals and for society. TechWork is another way we are providing more people with this important opportunity.
To learn about our CanWork program, which creates meaningful employment opportunities for those with disabilities within CanAssist and across the University of Victoria, please see the About us section.
