CanAssist works on projects in response to requests from an individual, caregiver or agency service provider. Projects are tailored to meet each client’s needs.
In addition, recognizing that sometimes people’s needs and capabilities change over time, we make a long-term commitment to our clients, providing technical support and assistance well after the delivery of a device or technology. This is particularly important for some clients, for example, those who have a progressive disease or are recovering from a major injury or trauma.
Since our inception in 1999, we have developed more than 140 new technologies for hundreds of users. You’ll find examples of these assistive technology projects in our Technology Showcase.
