Services and Programs

CanAssist's technologies, programs and services are available to all. We do not focus on any specific disability and welcome requests from individuals or families regardless of the challenges they face.

While the majority of our projects and services are focused on clients in our own community (Victoria and Vancouver Island), as awareness of our program has grown, we now routinely support people and organizations across B.C., Canada and even internationally. It is our goal to provide our technologies and services as widely as possible, subject to resources.

CanAssist’s core activities include:

1. The development and distribution of unique and customized assistive technologies and devices;
2. Research programs focused on developing solutions for those with extremely challenging physical and/or cognitive disabilities;
3. Programs to support training and employment for people with special needs; and
4. Developing and implementing specialty programs that support community needs (such as our Just for Kicks soccer program).
