Headband-Operated EMG Switch A technology helps that people communicate simply by contracting the muscles in their face. Clients are fitted with a special headband and when they move their facial muscles, a switch or other device is activated.

Headband-Operated EMG Switch with Mouse Click Box The electrical activity produced by contracting one’s facial muscles activates a Mouse Click Box which, in turn, can be programmed to control a function on a computer or activate some other device.

EMG Training for Prosthetic Arm EMG training teaches a young client how to control the muscles that will enable her to activate her new prosthetic arm.

Foot-Activated Noise Maker This device encourages kids with developmental disabilities to learn how to walk. With each correct footstep, the user activates an entertaining noise.

Musical Slippers Cute slippers play a wide range of music when a child successfully puts them on by herself. A great way to encourage independence.

Rainstick Oscillator This device keeps a rainstick toy in constant motion so that its soothing sound is a source of relaxation for a little girl. It will also teach her how to control a switch all by herself.

Freestanding Book Holder We created an aluminum book holder that stands independently on a table or desktop without the use of a clamp.

Polecam Power Chair This technology enables videographers to shoot footage while in a wheelchair. A boom arm attached to the chair is operated with a sip-and-puff device, while the camera that sits on top is controlled by a joystick.

Portable Document Stand This document stand is designed for professional speakers and attaches easily to a wheelchair. The stand is both portable and adjustable.

Automated Billiards Device A sophisticated device that allows people with a range of disabilities to play billiards independently.

BatSwinger This switch-activated device lets people with a wide range of disabilities swing a baseball bat on their own.

Bocce Ball Releaser A system that allows bocce enthusiasts to release balls by themselves. A switch attached to a wheelchair is triggered by the movement of a player's head, setting the ball into motion.

Adapted Rocking Horse We adapted a commercial rocking horse for a little girl who wasn't able to sit on it unassisted. The new support system will accommodate her as she grows.

Adapted Video Camera This adapted video camera enables people with a range of disabilities to take footage independently. A mounting system attaches to wheelchairs, and a control panel makes operation easy.

Indoor Ball Launcher for Dogs A commercial ball launcher was adapted so it could be used by someone unable to use its remote control. The ball is launched by pressing a large accessibility switch.

Mini Dog Ball Launcher This device enables people to play fetch with their dogs by pressing a single switch. It also lets them give the dog a treat.

Remote Control Car Modification A remote control toy car was modified so its functions could be controlled by an accessibility switch.
