Christina is a Métis woman that grew up on the traditional territories of the K’omoks people which is known as Parksville. Born and raised an Islander, she is most happy when near the water and still amazed at the overwhelming beauty she gets to see every day. She would like to acknowledge the traditional territories of the Lekwungen peoples of the Songhees and Esquimalt nations and offer gratitude as a guest of the land on which she lives, works, and plays.

A graduate of the Camosun College Indigenous Family Support Program in 2019 she began her helping career at the Victoria Native Friendship Centre and has worked as a one-to-one support worker in the XaXe STELITKEL child care centre, an outreach worker, and most recently she filled the role as youth support worker in the Youth Empowerment and Hospitality team where she uplifted and supported youth on their career journey.

Inclusion and accessibility have always been deeply important to Christina and she is over joyed to be joining TeenWork in May 2021. She is passionate about supporting youth and can’t wait to dive into her role as Job Coach.
