Robyn is new to the CanAssist employment team as of October 2022. She is a graduate of UBC's Bachelor of Arts program, with a focus in Sociology and Gender, Race, Sexuality & Social Justice, and has previously supported youth seeking work experiences. She is passionate about seeing folks experience life at it’s fullest, and is excited about everything participant engagement, program design, and community development.
Prior to starting as a Job Coach, she had recently returned to Canada after working and travelling in New Zealand for the past few years. During her time overseas, she had the opportunity to gain experience in multiple industries, such as community support, tourism, farming, and hospitality. Throughout their own career exploration, she discovered a love for working alongside animals and their potential to act as a positive impact on community - this is something they want to continue exploring here whilst here in Victoria! Robyn acknowledges the importance of the supports that CanAssist’s employment programs can offer their participants and is proud to be furthering these initiatives alongside the rest of the team.
