Zoë Tessier

Special Projects Coordinator

As the Special Projects Coordinator, Zoë’s role is to undertake research and seek stakeholder input to understand the inclusion barriers experienced by a target population and identify resources to help mitigate these challenges. Notably, she is to plan and develop inclusive training materials for child care providers.

Zoë holds an Honours Bachelor of Health Sciences (BHSc) with a Minor in Psychology from the University of Ottawa and completed the Master of Public Health and Social Policy program at the University of Victoria. She has a passion for improving child rights, early childhood development, and accessibility through intersectoral collaboration and healthy social policy. This has grown through her experience working with youth and adults with diverse abilities in health and recreation. She is joining CanAssist with a background in research and project coordination from her previous work experiences with GlobalChild in Victoria, the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada (Ottawa Chapter), and One Kids Place Children’s Treatment Center in North Bay Ontario.

Zoë is excited to contribute to CanAssist’s important work on promoting independence and inclusion.
