Michael Bolton performance to benefit CanAssist

Latest News

A gala fundraiser starring singer Michael Bolton will benefit two organizations dedicated to improving the quality of life of people with disabilities.

Called “Hearts for Hearts,” this unforgettable evening will raise much-needed funds both for CanAssist and the Vancouver Resource Society. The Great Canadian Gaming Corporation is very generously providing the evening's entertainment.

Michael Bolton is a well-known Grammy Award winner whose songs include “How Am I Supposed to Live Without You,” “When a Man Loves a Woman” and “Don't Tell Me It's Over.” He will perform Feb. 17 at the River Rock Casino Resort in Richmond, B.C. The event will also include a gourmet dinner and an exciting live auction.

Both the Vancouver Resource Society and CanAssist depend on donations. CanAssist provides customized devices and innovative programs to increase opportunities for people with disabilities to participate in society. The Vancouver Resource Society provides similar opportunities by developing accessible housing with a care component. The Society currently owns and operates 19 homes and units in eight apartments in Greater Vancouver and Victoria.
