CanAssist's Job Journey (formally known as TeenWork and AccessWork) supports youth (15+) and adult job seekers in finding work. The program serves participants in BC’s Greater Victoria Region with diagnosed or self-identified disabilities, including mental health challenges.

In the program, Job Coaches work with participants in groups or 1:1 to learn pre-employment skills, write resumes and cover letters, practice interviews, and prepare for employment. The program provides practical skill-building workshops and access to certificate training (e.g., WHMIS, First Aid, etc.).

Job Coaches can also support participants with job searching and developing job opportunities. While working, they provide on-site support if necessary.

The focus of support is to help participants find meaningful and sustainable paid employment!

If you are interested in joining the Employment Program, please fill out our referral form and email it to Melissa MacEwan at employmentprogramatcanassist@uvic.ca
