Our Team
George is a third-year Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Victoria, joining CanAssist as a Mechanical Engineering Design Technician Co-op. He is excited to contribute his knowledge to CanAssist projects, contributing to inclusion and equity for all.
George has a background in a range of mechanical design and fabrication projects and has been an avid user of 3D printers for 5 years. Prior to perusing Engineering, George worked professionally for three years in environmental sciences and holds B.Sc. in Earth and Atmospheric Sciences.
Outside of work, he is an avid cyclist who enjoys spending time outside on his mountain bike, as well as exploring on his road bike.
George is originally from Treaty 6 territory and recognises the significance of living and working on the unceded lands of the Lək̓ʷəŋən Peoples, including the Songhees, W̱SÁNEĆ, and Xʷsepsəm Nations, on whose land the University of Victoria is located.
